PHOTOS: The Nyoongar Tent Embassy on Matagarup Island stands strong

For the last week Matagarup has being set up as a refugee camp for Indigenous people to come and seek refuge at who've being displaced by the closure of Aboriginal communities across the state. Under the orders of the Perth City Council the WA Police moved in with riot squads, mounted cops and dogs to steal their camping gear. The tent embassy stood strong and surrounded the sacred fire.
